Stuck in Your Current Job?
If you have a job but aren’t getting a whole lot of satisfaction from it, we will examine why that is. You might feel lucky to have a job these days, and you are lucky, but there are a lot of people with incredible skill sets who aren’t willing to step outside of what they already know because they fear what’s beyond it. Am I describing you? What if new opportunities wait outside your comfort zone and you’re not even aware of them?! Click here for more.
Stay at Home Parents
Being a stay at home parent is an incredibly rewarding, yet truly difficult job. I know because I’ve been there. It might be easy to lose sight of the things you want to do outside of parenting. Sometimes people sacrifice the other parts of themselves to parenting, meaning they put less energy into being a friend, spouse, volunteer, part-time worker, etc. Because of the nature of parenting (24 hours a day, 7 days a week), it’s easy to get lost in being “mommy” or “daddy.” If you have ideas about how you want to reinvent your life at this stage, but you’re not sure where to begin, a coach can help. The truth is the more balanced and satisfied you feel overall, the better parent you ultimately are. Click here for more.
Reentering the Workforce
Clearly you’re ready for change. Perhaps you have been out of work because you were forced out. Or maybe you decided to take a break for a while and now are returning to work. Or maybe you were home raising your children. This is an exciting time for you and a coach can help you clarify your goals, come up with an action plan, and keep you accountable and on track to ensure that you are making progress at the rate of success you choose.
Not sure where to start? We’ll explore what you’ve already accomplished, what skills you’ve harnessed and developed along the way, where your interests and passions lie and what other resources you possess.
If you’ve been trying to find a job with no luck at all, we will determine together what might be standing in your way. The obstacles might not be the “obvious” ones. They may be things hidden beneath the surface. Once we identify the hurdles to your success, we can find ways around, over and through them. Click here for more.
Learning How to Say NO (Setting Healthy Boundaries) –
I know learning how to say NO may sound a little selfish. It’s really not. Unless we learn how to say NO sometimes, we place our value to others in what we do, rather than who we are. We end up feeling depleted, overwhelmed, resentful and taken advantage of. Learning how to say NO to others and YES to ourselves is a life skill that ultimately garners us more respect from others, not less. If you are stuck constantly saying YES to others, coaching can help you learn the skills you need to be more assertive about your own needs and goals as well as setting healthy boundaries. This is important because unfortunately, you and I don’t have endless supplies of time and energy (I wish!!). Click here for more.
When work takes over and you find yourself never seeing the light of day during the week, or you’ve forgotten what your friends and family look like, it’s time to take stock. Is this what you want? What are you missing? Are you feeling satisfied and filled up by how you’re spending your time? If you are, then don’t change a thing. If that isn’t the case, then you may want to consider what you’ve been sacrificing. What does your “best life” look like? Coaching will enable you to bring your life more in line with your personal vision of what you’d like it to be. Click here for more.
Okay, this may sound like a downer, but it’s a worthwhile exercise: take a moment to imagine what might be said about you in your eulogy if you were to leave this world in the not too distant future. Now imagine what you’d like your legacy to be. Are your current actions in alignment with this legacy and how you’d like to be remembered? Perhaps you are already living a life steeped in meaning but it’s difficult for you to recognize this. Or you have ideas about how to instill meaning in your life but you’re not quite sure how to put those ideas into practice. Coaching can help you clarify what is meaningful to you so that you can incorporate it into your everyday life, leading to a greater sense of overall satisfaction. Click here for more.
